If you choose not to volunteer, please pay the volunteer opt out fee each semester.
 
The volunteer opt out fee is based on the number of periods the children in the family attend.
 
To determine the number of periods enrolled, add up all the periods your children are on campus at Compass during the week (Mondays and Wednesdays).  The "enrolled periods" are calculated per family.  "Enrolled periods" include classes, study hall, and high school waiting area.   You do not need to include lunch in calculating your enrolled periods.
 
Example: The Smith family has 2 children
Smith child #1 takes a 2-period biology class on Mondays and a 1 period drama class on Wednesdays.  Student #1 is enrolled for 3 periods total.
Smith child #2 takes 1 art class, 1 cooking class, and 1 high school waiting area on Wednesdays.  Student #2 is enrolled for 3 periods total.
The Smith family has 6 enrolled periods and will be responsible for 6 hours of volunteering for the semester.
