Welcome! We're so glad you're visiting. Compass Community, LLC is a Christian, multi-faceted homeschool group located in Athens, Georgia offering academic and enrichment classes, social opportunities, service projects, and more. Our mission is to support, encourage, and uplift our homeschooling families as well as our community as a whole.

What We Offer
One of the key features of Compass is flexibility. Parents can choose to have students attend one or both days, and they can pick the classes best suited for their needs.

Enrichment Classes (Wednesdays) designed to supplement what parents are doing at home

Drama, music, archery, soccer, STEAM building, art, ballet, etc.

Some high school academics on Wednesdays including foreign language, public speaking, apologetics.

Monthly tuition is paid directly to the teachers and ranges from $15-35/period.

Semesterly supply fees are paid in August and January.

Classes meet for 16 weeks in the fall and 16 weeks in the spring.
Core academics (Mondays) for students in grades 2-12

These classes follow a set curriculum and cover most of what the students will need. Class time is used for instruction, discussion, labs, crafts, and hands-on experiences.

At-home work is assigned to be completed Tuesday through Friday and work is turned in to the teachers for feedback and grades.

Google Classrooms are used for communicating assignments, providing feedback, and collecting work.

Monday classes are designed to be a partnership with parents, allowing students to learn from and be accountable to a teacher while maintaining the daily learning experience with parents and flexibility that comes with homeschooling

MAP provides opportunities for the students to go in-depth in their learning through various small projects as well as the Living Wax Museum and Science Fair.

Classes can be taken a la carte or as a package. Pricing ranges from $35-40/period and $150-185/full day

Classes meet for 16 weeks in the fall and 16 weeks in the spring.

MAP also offers an enrichment day for students in grades K-1 where students spend the full day with one teacher using a Montessori approach to phonics, math, science, history, and crafts. This is designed to be enrichment only and does not provide core learning.
