Let's play soccer together!

Grades K5-2: In this class students will be introduced to the basics of soccer - the correct way to dribble, pass, and trap the ball (and which way to run). We will spend most of our time scrimmaging together and learning as we play, but will also do a few drills and games to specifically practice skills.

Grades 2-4: In this class students will build on the basics of soccer. We will continue to practice dribbling, trapping, and passing, but will start to focus more on strategy. Students will primarily learn by playing the game and stopping for teachable moments. The skills that we practice in class will be tailored to the ability of each student.

NOTE: 2nd graders who are very comfortable with dribbling and are ready to learn strategy should take 2nd-4th grade class.. If you have any questions about placement, please contact the instructor at elong @ compasscommunityathens.com

Students will need to wear clothing that will allow them to play outside in most weather.
