In this class we will learn study skills useful for high school and college classes including: SMART Goal-Setting, Time Management and Organization, Focused Note-Taking, How to Email a Teacher, Avoiding Plagiarism and Academic Integrity, Citing Sources: MLA Format vs APA Style, In-Text Citations, & Embedding Quotes, Costa's Three Levels of Questioning, Active Reading Comprehension Strategies. and Marking the Text
This class is offered on two different days - as an elective on Mondays or on Wednesdays. The two classes will cover the same topics, so students should only sign up for ONE period of Study Skills.
