In worship band, students will bring their musical skills and learn to sing and/or play their instrument in a group setting for the common goal of leading others in worship. Students will practice choosing songs to build a cohesive worship set and consider how to best invite others to join in worship by choosing familiar songs and comfortable keys for singing along. Playing as a team can be challenging, but students will learn tips and tricks for staying together and working as a unified group. The worship band will have several opportunities throughout the school year to lead their classmates and families in worship. Please note that this class requires prior experience with your chosen instrument/vocals and a basic understanding of reading a chord chart.
