Handcrafts: Intermediate Crochet and Sewing
Grades
6th-12th
This class will focus on two very useful handicrafts. It's an intermediate class so it will not include basic instruction but instead focus on completing more advanced projects. The fall semester will include learning to read a crochet pattern, working more advanced stitches and creating a simple sweater or bag, student's choice. In the spring we’ll be altering and up-cycling various clothing pieces as a way for students to advance their sewing skills and gain a better understanding of clothing construction . Fee covers basic supplies and students will be able to take their tools/kits with them at the end of the year. Students will need to purchase or bring in clothing to alter at the beginning of the spring semester
