Compass families with students in grades 7-12 grade are invited on a multi-day field trip on Tybee Island.
 
Dates: Thursday October 8th - Monday October 12th (families can choose to leave Saturday evening or Sunday if desired) (this is the beginning of Compass's Fall Break)
Location: Tybee Island/Savannah, Georgia
 
Activities: 
Marine science guided tour and program at Tybee Island Marine Science Center. The entire program and tour is 2 hours and includes a tour of their gallery. The programs will include a saltmarsh ecology hike and seining (netting) for ocean animals. This program is scheduled for Friday, October 9 at 9:30 am - 11:30 am.  Families can also tour the exhibits and touch tanks independently after the program.  $17 per person
Animal encounter live animal program at Oatland Island Wildlife Center. This program is scheduled for Saturday October 10th at 10:30 - 11:30 am.  Families can tour the indoor and outdoor exhibits independently after the program. $12 per person
 We will also plan a group dinner on Friday evening as well as some potential beach time.
 
Families are responsible for their own transportation and lodging.
