Snacks and Skills for Success
K5-3
Grades
This hands-on class helps students build confidence, communication, and social skills while having fun! Students practice speaking clearly, organizing their thoughts, actively listening, and responding respectfully. They also develop everyday skills through interactive scenarios, taking turns, sharing, helping with snack setup and cleanup, and choosing and requesting snacks from a mini-menu.
Learning is playful and engaging, with hands-on games like Mystery Bag, Charades, Headbands, and Guess Who, plus cooperative challenges and storytelling activities. During Show & Tell-style sharing, students rotate through audience roles so everyone participates and practices speaking and listening.
By combining games, life skills, and structured communication practice, this class helps children feel confident, comfortable sharing ideas, and ready to connect with others. Snacks are flexible to accommodate allergies or dietary restrictions, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone!
