This 90 minute course will explore the tangible things of nature and God’s amazing design at the cellular and molecular levels of plant and animal biology and ecology, as well as other biological concepts in an engaging way using Abeka’s high school biology textbook. We will occasionally incorporate readings from other sources provided by the teacher as well. In class, students will benefit from hands-on experience and lab work in groups. Classroom lab activities will include microscopic and dissection activities as well as outdoor lab exercises. Students will learn at home through a combination of assigned readings, videos, and questions to reinforce important concepts and deepen their understanding of biology in the world around us and in our everyday lives.
